Aino Mattila

Aino Mattila (b. 2012) began playing the violin at the age of 3 at the Ala-Keitele Music Institute in Äänekoski with Niina Tuunainen. In 2020, Aino was accepted into the Violin Academy and the Porvoo Region Music Institute. At the Violin Academy, she has received regular lessons under the guidance of Janne Malmivaara and Elina Vähälä.

In 2022, at the International Leonid Kogan Competition, Aino took second place in the junior category, and that same spring, she performed as a soloist at the Young Soloists concert in Porvoo. In the spring of 2024, Aino was selected as a soloist for the RSO Young Soloists concert, alongside her sister Leea, and she also performed as an artist at the Riihimäki Summer Concert Festival and the Naantali Music Festival.

Aino Mattila’s violin studies have been supported by the Pro Musica Foundation, the Oleg Kagan Memorial Fund, and the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
